We are Fly Fishing Guides

Trout Chasers River Company Ltd. is owned and operated by Dee and Sherri Chatani. We are based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, and offer guided fly fishing float trips on the lower Bow. In 1998 we officially incorporated the comapany, although our experience on the Bow dates back to the early 80's. Dee began fly fishing the Bow River in 1978 and in 1988 he began guiding anglers full time.

You can be certain to not find Dee or our other guides at home during the season, every spare moment is spent fishing the Bow. Our guides intimate knowledge of the river's constantly changing moods helps to ensure that each and every day spent on the Bow is truly a memorable one. Recently and much to Dee's delight, our son Matt has turned into a Trout Bum. The two of them are now fighting over rising fish! Matt will see his first season as a Bow River Guide this year. He is a true Trout Bum and can always be found with his camera in tow. You can catch his adventures on Instagram @MattChat12 and by subscribing to his YouTube channel Horizon Fly Productions.

Meet Trout Chasers River Company

Dee Chatani

Head Guide/Owner and Dad

Dee is Trout Chasers head guide. With more then 30 years of experience as a guide, you'll be hard pressed to find a better guide on the Bow River. Dee pioneered mulitple fishing tactics, and introduced trout flies that are now common on the Bow.

Sherri Chatani

Owner and Mom

Sherri handles all business and booking at Trout Chasers. She can throw a pretty tight loop too!

Matt Chatani

Guide

Matt is excited for his first official season as a Bow River Guide this year, although he's been guiding his mom and bro for several seasons. Matt has a passion for the visual aspects of fly fishing, rising fish, sight fishing, and fishing big streamers close to the surface. At 18 years of age he wants nothing more than to follow in his Dad's footsteps.

Tysen Chatani

Just lives here and occasionally fishes

Tysen is still pursuing his soccer career and is heading to uni in the fall. He is starting to fly fish more although, he would much rather be kicking a soccer ball about than stalking trout.
